Gloomy outlook for all but NT
April 14th 2009 11:24
Everyone is reducing head count in this economic environment. Job cuts make the news everyday - however, it seems like there is one place that there may still be hope.
Northern Territory seem to lack workers - at least - able workers. It seems unfortunate that many people who want jobs don't actually want to work, and that is what the bosses up in NT are experiencing.
According to Career One News, Des Ward, boss of two construction companies that has projects in the Northern Territory, it is hard to gain local interest to apply for the positions he has advertised and he is going to have to look to recruiting interestate.
Besides the possibility of relocating, there may be some solutions in other areas too. I came across this blog on 'Resession Proof Jobs' - and he has something interesting to say that may add that little bit of hope into the job market:

Good luck.

Unfortunately it's not a place for long term plans but for now it sounds good enough.
